This is called Dry Needling.
And no it’s not acupuncture.
We use a thin, sterile needle to target trigger points inside tight muscles.
A trigger point is a hyper-irritable knot inside muscle tissue that:
• Reduces blood flow
• Increases local tension
• Causes referred pain
• Restricts movement
When the needle enters the trigger point:
You may see a small muscle twitch.
That twitch is important.
It means the muscle fibers are resetting.
Here’s what happens physiologically:
✔ Muscle spindle activity decreases
✔ Local circulation improves
✔ Inflammatory chemicals reduce
✔ Nervous system sensitivity decreases
✔ Pain signals calm down
The goal is NOT to inject anything.
That’s why it’s called “dry.”
We’re stimulating your neuromuscular system not adding medicine.
Dry needling can help with:
• Neck pain
• Shoulder stiffness
• Tennis elbow
• Low back pain
• Sciatica
• Headaches
• Postural tightness
Most patients feel:
Immediate lightness
Improved range of motion
Reduced tightness
But remember —
Dry needling is a tool.
Real recovery comes from:
Movement correction + Strengthening + Posture retraining.
At FlexifyMe, we combine dry needling with advanced physiotherapy for long-term results.
If you’ve been stretching the same tight muscle for months…
but it still feels tight…
It might be a trigger point.
Save this for later.
Comment “HEALTH” if you want to know whether it’s right for you.
